Welcome to my home port!

My name is Christopher (or Chris) Powell. I'm a freelance writer working primarily in nonfiction including historical biographies, sailing adventures and technical computing. This web site will give you some idea of the writing that I've done over the years, my current projects and the writing by others that I think is especially good. Since sailing has been a theme in my life, I use it as a theme here - you'll just need to bear with me if the metaphor stretches too far.
